Senior Pastor Ed And Maria Smith

The Smiths are in their thirteenth year serving Memorial Church and the East Dayton community. They have delayed their retirement because of the challenges God has given to the church and it's youth ministries. They are excited to be a part of the church's numerical and spiritual growth. When asked when he is going to retire, Pastor Ed quotes a missionary friend from Haiti who once said, "I'm not going to retire, I'm going to re-fire".

All good things come to an end. The time for Pastor Ed and Maria Smith, is at it's end. Ed told the Congregation that he will be leaving to retire by Easter of 2009. These two people will be greatly missed here at Memorial Church. God has Someone lined up. We pray that God will richly bless the Smiths as they take this step into another Era for them.
